Today started as just an ordinary day.
I got up, I went to uni, and then I drove myself and my mum home. She asks me to go outside to the garage to get a can of Solo Lemon & Lime. So I go to the garage, and I hear my mum ask, “Didn’t you see what’s there?” so I turn around.
And what did I see but…?
My very own gorgeous, almost-new (meaning 10,318 kilometres on the clock) metallic silver 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer ES! She was kitted out with a sweet pink bow all around her, and my parents gave me her keys in a pink metallic box tied with a purple-pink ribbon. I love pretty little touches like that!Okay, so I knew the car was coming (hell, I went to the car yard to pick it with my parents) but I had no idea that they would surprise me with it today, which when I woke up, just seemed like another ordinary day, albeit the day at the end of my school week (which therefore means that the weekend is just around the corner).
She is absolutely beautiful, she is my new most prized possession, and she is mine. My car is my baby, and the baby has a name: Silver Belle. Name etymology in ten seconds or less: she’s metallic, she’s silver, she’s beautiful. Hence.
Now, to show you just how beyooooooooooooootiful she is, I have taken a few photos. It’s overcast and wintry here (despite being in the middle of September, when it should be sunny, but that’s Melbourne for you) so the lighting leaves a bit to be desired.
May I proudly introduce… Silver Belle! You can view the photo set on my Flickr:

Is she not the most beautiful thing you ever saw? I think she is.
